Lower Depth Theatre Ensemble is a space for taking risks. We represent the common man and woman Maxim Gorky described in his work that gave us our name. Celebrating the African diaspora experience in all its beauty and pain, fearlessly exploring racial tension, and introducing the world to unknown, courageous playwrights, we are here to expose our humanity. We seek to include all and exclude none. After all, we are but a city now of immigrants, looking for home.
